Role Purpose

Please note:  The territory for this position includes Idaho and parts of Montana.  Optimal support locations for this position are in the Twin Falls-Idaho Falls areas. 
At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds and crop protection innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. To support this challenge, Syngenta’s Commercial team is currently seeking a District Seed Care Specialist for Syngenta’s Idaho Territory. In this role, you will assist in the development and execution of strategies to grow the seed care market in the Rocky Mountain District.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the Marketing Strategy to launch new products and maximize the lifetime profitability of products in the seed care portfolio.
  • Develop strong relationships with custom blend sites, distributors and agents as well as seed houses and other commercial treaters.
  • Collaborate with other districts in developing and implementing product launch plans and go to market strategies for the seed care portfolio in the district.
  • Manage the Seedcare business for the Rocky Mountain District.
  • Develop short and long term Seedcare marketing plans and forecasts for our cereal, potato and large seeded vegetable products.
  • Maintain the district relationship with the Seedcare Leadership team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our Seedcare customers and agents.
  • Service Custom blend sites located in the district. Provide guidance to custom blend sites promoting proper stewardship of Syngenta active ingredients and provide ordering assistance when needed. Manage resources to assist with labels, pumps, shuttles and other equipment.

Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and/or related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in Ag Sales
  • Experience in Agronomy, Farm, Retail Management and/or related experience
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship from Syngenta
  • Up to 50% travel is required for this position
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with Crop Protection Products or seed care Industry
  • Knowledge of competitors and competitive products and activities
  • Ability to Identify trends early in the seed care business, agricultural sector and identify new opportunities for Syngenta Seedcare products
