The Lewiston mill is the largest of Clearwater Paper's facilities, producing both paperboard and tissue products, and boasting over 1200 talented employees. What you will do
The Journeyman Electrician will be a successful candidate by being able to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

What you will need
To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Have successfully completed an approved electrical apprenticeship program
  • Hold a current state journeyman electrician's license or must be able to obtain an Idaho Journeyman Electrician license within six months of employment
  • Have a minimum of 3- 5 years journeymen experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, pulp and paper experience preferred.
  • Have knowledge and experience in reading electrical schematics, ladder logic and P&ID's.
  • Must be experienced or demonstrate knowledge in evaluating and troubleshooting a combination of the following systems; PLC's, AC/DC drives and motors, Control systems, High voltage switchgear and transformers.
  • Experience with motor management and controls, speed controls, and other systems.
  • Able to learn and utilize secondary maintenance skills in instrumentation and refrigeration.
  • Able to complete all documentation using a computerized maintenance tracking system.
  • Work in a true teamwork environment with minimal supervision being self-motivated and accountable.
  • Be willing to work shift work. This position will primarily be day shift, Monday-Friday on a 4 day-10 hour schedule.
  • Willing and able to use all skills in a true teamwork environment in order to safely accomplish work with minimal supervision.

Candidates for the Journeyman Electrician position must be responsible, safety-conscious individuals. Pay Rate is $48.00. This position will primarily be day shift, Monday-Friday on a 4 day-10-hour schedule.
