About The Role

Summary

The role of the Network Manager for Infrastructure & Telephony, is to lead the team of network and voice engineers who manage and maintain the organization's TCP/IP network infrastructure, wide-area networks (WAN e.g. MPLS), Local Area Network (LAN), and Voice Over IP (VOIP) connectivity. This role also manages the bank's voice platform and call centers.

This individual collaborates closely with their peer IT team managers in Infrastructure and Information Security. An efficient IT manager will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to facilitate productivity of their team members with each other, as well as collaborating with other teams. The desired results provided by a good IT manager include achieving individual and team goals, which support stability, growth and profitability for the company. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a large heavily regulated enterprise environment, and should have familiarity with GLBA, FFIEC and NIST guidelines.

This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bank division location across our eight-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. The entry rate for this position is $133,056.14/ per year (calculated for Missoula, MT).

All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Description

  • Ensure the stable and optimal operation of GBCI's network services, including voice and video infrastructure.
  • Oversee the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network, VoIP hardware, software, and inter-connectivity.
  • Align proper staffing levels to steady state, operational activities, and accommodating project support, in cooperation with other members of the IT leadership team. Supervise staff in analyzing and resolving network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Stay aware of current industry trends and innovations that may be pertinent to the team's focus areas, and guiding team members to apply best practices and adhere to applicable IT service management and governance considerations. Provide and maintain internal end user training where appropriate.
  • Plan, design, and develop voice and video infrastructures, and network connectivity across the organization.
  • Responsible for maintaining reference architecture files, documenting processes for engaging with their team's services, and coaching their own team members, as well as any other involved employees of the proper consideration and use of these processes.
  • Develop and maintain voice standards and procedures.
  • Manage & train direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Additional Requirements

Travel

Up to 10% travel required: (e.g. 2 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
