Cost Estimator/Project Delivery Planner

Parametrix, a leading engineering, planning, and environmental sciences consulting firm, is seeking Cost Estimators/Project Delivery Planners to join our team of dedicated professionals focused on Strategic Advisory Services. Our team works for a wide variety of clients including water/wastewater, transit and transportation, environmental and construction management. We are proud to have an established relationship with a range of clients, providing us the opportunity to support and enhance the communities in which we live and work.

You will join one of our Puget Sound Offices (Bremerton, Puyallup or Seattle). This position will have flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, coming into the office for mentorship, client and team collaboration.

This position will contribute to a multi-discipline engineering team performing cost analysis and cost estimating.

WHO YOU ARE:

Passionate & Experienced: You have a relevant degree (Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Economics or similar) and a desire to perform cost analysis, cost estimating and risk analysis for planning and design phases for infrastructure projects (transportation, water, environmental).

Organized: This position requires a strong attention to detail produce cost estimates, life cycle cost estimates, and analyze long-term alternatives and risks through all phases of a project life cycle. Requires an understanding or ability to learn construction means and methods and implement estimating best practices. This position will utilize various estimating software and tools such as: RS Means Online, Blue Beam, On Screen Takeoff (or other electronic takeoff software), @Risk, and Sage.

Relationship-focused: Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, and you thrive on developing rapport with others to develop relationships with internal and external clients and maintain quality delivery. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Base salary for this position is in the range of $65,000-$85,000. Salary will be determined based on education, experience, location and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review. We are happy to be transparent in our salary discussions and look forward to sharing more about our compensation structure, pay equity and the value of being an employee-owner. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program.
