Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Details:

Food Safety and Sensory Improvements

    Working closely with our Food Safety & Sensory team on improvements throughout our Pocatello, ID manufacturing facility.
  • This intern will work on different types of validations, namely microwave and/or oven.
  • Various auditing opportunities, such as electronic batch auditing and process/equipment auditing; training will be provided.
  • Compile and update data in various platforms, such as the WIP Spec Smartsheet and the Meal Spec Binders on the lines.
  • Project mentorship with the Manager of Quality Food Systems.

EDUCATION

  • Attending four-year college or university to attain Bachelor's degree (B.S., or B.A.); or already awarded Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university. Ideally in Food or Biological Sciences.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Microsoft Suite, including experience with pivot tables, data entry, etc.
  • Smartsheet experience preferred.
  • Needs to have good attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, project leadership, analytical, and reasoning skills.
  • Self-starter, proactive, and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a sense of urgency.

SKILLS

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to plant management and other stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
