Shift: 1st Shift

Work model: On-Site

Schedule: Full-time; Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. with an occasional Saturday

Job overview:

Schneider is seeking a Distribution Team Leader in Houston to oversee all inbound and outbound activities at a distribution center. The Distribution Team Leader will lead a team of logistics associates and solve customer, carrier and personnel problems that arise.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coach a team of associates.
  • Maintain positive relationships with on-site customer leaders.
  • Monitor carrier compliance.
  • Resolve all transportation and shipping related problems and communicate resolution plans to the customer.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Make employment-related decisions.
  • Create and maintain a high-performance environment.

Skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in transportation, logistics or a related field.
  • Two plus years of related work experience.
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Is goal-driven and motivated to reach desired outcomes.
  • Able to positively coach, lead and influence a team.
