Progressive was founded and incorporated in 1971 in Arlington, Texas. Heroux-Devtek Inc. purchased Progressive in 2004 who helped to expand the site which has doubled its manufacturing footprint and more than doubled sales and employee base. In August 2012, Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) acquired Progressive. In January 2022 Progressive merged with ADI, Aerospace Dynamics Inc. and now ADI Progressive is one of the largest footprints within the Aerostructures Division of PCC.
Predominantly, a provider for large, highly complex machined parts, kits and assemblies for OEMs and large Tier One providers for both military and commercial market segments. Progressive is a 140,000 square foot facility.
Position Summary:
Building upon level 1, with minimal assistance, the Machinist - Level 2 operates 2-5 axis CNC machine cells as well as standalong machines, which requires basic machine setup including preparing and setting up fixtures and cutting tools, as well as loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets. The Machinist - Level 2 competencies include the ability to use more advanced quality inspection tools and techniques such as height and air gauges and bench inspection. The Machinist - Level 2 will have basic competencies in print reading and common CNC G and M codes. Typically 2-4 years of experience.
Reporting Relationships:
The Machinist - Level 2 will report to the Operations Supervisor.
