Where: Ridley Park, Pennsylvania

Type: Non-Exempt

Compensation: Competitive wage dependent on experience

Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

Skookum is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Janitor Lead with a can-do attitude to perform general janitorial duties.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Clean building floors by stripping and waxing, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, spot cleaning and shampooing carpets using a wet/dry vacuum and mops.

  • Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and others glass surfaces of building interior or exterior.

  • Mix window washing chemicals and use window cleansing equipment to include squeegee, Tucker Pole, and other specialized equipment.

  • Use ladders, articulating lifts, and elevated platforms of various heights to clean windows and remove/replace window screens.

  • Maintain window cleaning equipment in good repair.

  • Communicate with customers-maintains windows schedule to include coordinating with the customer in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Operate a street sweeper as necessary.

  • Monitor inventory and order supplies.

  • Enter data and/or tasks into Excel spreadsheet.

Qualifications:
  • One (1) year experience in a custodial capacity preferred.

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.

Requirements:

  • Valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
